M Update, 8/4/2019 – The government will announce a new standard operating procedure (SOP) for the process of granting citizenship, especially to residents in this state, once a decision is made on the matter.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Azis Jamman said the new SOP for the Committee on the Management of Foreign Nationals in Sabah (JKPWAS) was formulated to ensure that the process of issuing citizenship documents is smooth nationwide.
JKPWAS will be activated with new policies and SOPs to ensure that the issue of documentation is resolved,” he told reporters after opening the Sepanggar Warisan delegates meeting here, today. – NST Online
